Trek's new seven-model District+ lineup brings Bosch mid-drive power and full commuter equipment to the entry and mid-level urban e-bike segment.

Trek has unveiled the District+, a new seven-model family of urban e-bikes built around Bosch mid-drive motors, with UK pricing starting at £2,300 and topping out at £3,000 for the District+ 4 N5 B.

The range targets everyday riders rather than performance enthusiasts. All models share a relaxed, upright riding position and a low step-through frame, and come fully equipped for commuting duty: integrated lights powered by the main battery, full-coverage fenders, and a MIK-compatible pannier rack fitted as standard. A pivoting stem lets riders fine-tune handlebar reach and height without tools, and multiple frame sizes are offered.

Buyers can choose between derailleur drivetrains and low-maintenance internal gear hubs, paired with either baseline or more advanced Bosch pedal-assist systems as the range steps up. The removable, lockable battery simplifies charging for riders without garage access — a key consideration for apartment dwellers in European cities.

The frames use Trek’s hydroformed AlphaNext aluminium, a material choice tied to the brand’s ongoing carbon-reduction efforts, shaped to save weight while reinforcing high-stress areas. Practical details include generous mounting points, among them a headtube-mounted bottle cage.

Because the bikes run Bosch’s smart system, riders get access to app-based navigation, tunable motor output profiles, and anti-theft features, some of which require a subscription.

The District+ launch underlines how the fully equipped, Bosch-powered commuter formula — long a strength of European brands — is now central to Trek’s urban strategy as well, intensifying competition in the mid-price city segment.
