Europe’s biggest bike trade show may be changing course again. According to industry reports, Eurobike 2027 is now expected to take place from June 30 to July 2 in Frankfurt — abandoning the September 1–3 slot that organizer Fairnamic announced only in May. Official confirmation is still pending: Fairnamic has scheduled a livestream briefing for September 1, 2026, where managing director Philipp Ferger and show director Matthias Pietsch are expected to lay out the plan.
The reversal is striking because the September date was itself presented as the result of extensive consultation — roughly 50 industry interviews plus a customer survey, in which a majority reportedly favored a late-summer show. That decision came bundled with a broader repositioning: a compact three-day, B2B-only format in the eastern halls of the Frankfurt fairgrounds, a biennial schedule from 2027, and a planned pause in 2028.
No official reason has been given for the new date, but the calendar offers a plausible one. The “Towards Tomorrow – European Bike Show,” a rival B2B event backed by Koelnmesse and German industry association ZIV, debuts in Cologne on September 6–8, 2027, and the BIKE&CO order festival has moved to mid-August in Kassel. A June Eurobike would space the three major B2B dates weeks apart instead of stacking them into a crowded late summer.
For e-bike brands planning 2027/28 launches, the show calendar just became a moving target — again.
