Cube Adds Practical 720 Wh Reaction Hybrid to 2027 Range cover

Cube has introduced the Reaction Hybrid Performance 720 FE Wave as part of its 2027 e-bike range, positioning the hardtail as a versatile option for commuting, touring and moderate off-road use.

The step-through model uses Bosch’s Performance Line mid-drive motor, rated at 75 Nm, and a 720 Wh PowerTube battery. While the motor specification sits below the highest-output systems now appearing on premium e-MTBs, the large battery should make the bike suitable for longer daily journeys and recreational rides. Cube has paired the drive system with a 12-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain.

The “FE” package marks this as a fully equipped version. Standard equipment includes mudguards, a rear carrier, integrated lights and a kickstand, allowing the bike to move directly into utility duties without major accessories. An SR Suntour X32 NLO coil fork provides 100 mm of travel and can be locked out for smoother roads. Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres are intended to balance trail grip with acceptable rolling performance on asphalt, while Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping.

At 28 kg, the Reaction Hybrid is substantial but typical of an equipped, large-battery trekking e-bike. Its €2,699 price places it toward the more accessible end of Cube’s Bosch-powered range and could make it notable for riders seeking one bike for weekday transport and weekend trails.
