Trek has added the Inbound+ to its European e-bike range, positioning the new model as a lightweight urban machine that can also handle occasional rides beyond paved streets. The launch is particularly notable because the bike uses Bosch’s new Hub Line rear-wheel motor rather than the mid-drive systems traditionally associated with the German supplier.
The motor delivers 250 W of nominal power and 45 Nm of torque, with assistance limited to 25 km/h for the European market. Battery capacity varies by country and configuration, with reported options ranging from 360 Wh to 600 Wh. Trek offers the aluminium-framed bike in conventional and step-through formats, while drivetrain choices include a ten-speed Shimano CUES setup or a low-maintenance Gates belt.
Despite carrying practical equipment such as mudguards, lights and a rear rack, the lightest Inbound+ configuration is reported to weigh just over 22 kg. Wide 50 mm tyres provide additional comfort and versatility, although the standard bike uses a rigid fork. Hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors complete the commuter-focused package.
European pricing starts at approximately €2,100 for the entry-level CUES version. With Bosch’s compact hub drive, integrated battery and everyday accessories, the Inbound+ reflects a broader shift toward cleaner-looking, moderately powered e-bikes designed around daily transport rather than maximum torque.
